A Christian Art Ministry for Trauma Survivors

About Us

I Give My Tears, INC. was founded in 2001 by Julie Bergeron whose heart was hurting with a passion for those who are grieving and have been through traumatic situations.

Using Art techniques, Encouragement and Hope
through Biblical principles,
I Give My Tears, INC.
ministry reaches out
to those who are hurting

In 1989, Julie and one of her daughters were in a head-on car collision nearly taking Julie's life. She struggled to survive day-to-day to overcome the traumatic injuries of her accident and the the devastating effects of dealing with insurance companies and the ramifications of the legal systems. God became the true and only one she could depend on for truth, honesty, strength, and love. God brought her to a place of intense learning and total dependence on Him. Using art as an expression not only helped her to understand her life but also allowed others to see what was deep inside her heart. She has successfully used art to express and heal the wounds of her own near-death trauma and multiple losses through family tragedies.

She felt God strongly nudging her to use art in order to work with others who were also hurting and lost in their own tragedies.  The joy, peace and excitement of allowing God to heal those hurts, guided her into a serving passion under the ministry of I Give My Tears, INC.

At its founding a group of dedicated Christians met to establish an organization which is head by a board of directors who now guide the functions of this valuable ministry.

I Give My Tears, INC. is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.

       A Note from Julie

Pain, Illness, Anger, Bitterness, Fear, Loss, Loneliness, Depression, Broken Hearted, Hope-lessness or Frustration . . . whatever it is, we are held captive to its destruction until we seek to break free from its hold.

My desire and passion is
to see people find peace and hope in their lives
no matter what situation has overcome them.

I believe Art Expression is a very valuable tool to help individuals break through these issues and help each individual understand themselves, and also helps others understand them when words are otherwise hard or impossible to express. Using art mediums can also cause enjoyment and release of endorphins in the brain which is healing in itself.

Art Expression is a process-oriented and reflective time in which individuals learn to express, communicate and understand their drives, desires and emotions through the use of artistic media.

Even if a person is reluctant or has no reason to want to hope, working with different art mediums (clay, drawing, painting, etc.) can give freedom just to create. Talented or not, using different art mediums can help make anyone feel and find satisfaction.

Being an "artist" is better than simply being a patient, and the personal satisfaction that comes from self-expression can heal in so many ways.  I trust in some small way that God can use me to help facilitate some enjoyment into the lives of those who are going through the hardest times of their lives.

Thank you for allowing me to share,
Julie Bergeron
