 Chuck & Julie Bergeron
Julie is a professional artist and mother of six children who have gifted her with six beautiful granddaughters. She was raised in the home of parents who served the Navajo people as full-time missionaries from the time she was two years old. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of five. Her higher education, included studies at Calvary Bible College. Julie's husband, Chuck, accepted Christ at the age of fifteen. Desiring to work in the printing and literature ministry, he joined United Indian Missions, Inc. (UIM International) in 1971. Chuck and Julie married and joined the mission as a couple. They were sent to British Columbia, Canada, in order to attend Missionary Development Training. This lead to working in Bible camps for Canadian children and they were privileged to develop numerous friendships with Canadians on a nearby Island. While raising their children, Chuck completed his Bible school training through Montana Institute of the Bible and Inland Empire School of the Bible while Julie audited additional classes. In 1978, the UIM needed them to work in New Mexico with the Navajo Indian people through youth camp work, church planting, teaching, preaching, Bible study sessions, visitation. Chuck traveled weekly to the Indian boarding schools teaching the children's Bible class hour. Following the ten years during which they served the Lord with UIM, they settled in Colorado where they continued to raise their five children. They have found great pleasure in serving Christ in their local church through the AWANA programs, prison ministries, Sunday school teaching, Bible study teaching, and have made five trips to Russia with Children's Hope Chest to help staff the orphan summer camps. Art Expression is a wonderful tool to get the orphaned children to open up and share their stories and to show them love while presenting Gold's everlasting hope. Julie's husband joins her in the I Give My Tears, INC. ministry by serving on the board of directors. They have a continuing passion to help those who are hurting and to present the Hope that only God can provide. |
